Helena is a first-year IB diploma student at Benjamin Franklin International School, where she has been a student since 2022. She is thrilled to be chairing the Human Rights Council at BFISMUN 2026. Having been involved in MUN since 9th grade, her passion for global politics and international relations drives her to take on this role. Given the international environment she has been surrounded by since a young age, especially having lived in multiple different countries, her passion for global politics is rooted in her personal experiences. Aditionally, Helena is involved in debate and public speaking, a further basis for her interest in MUN. Having attended over 10 conferences, including BFISMUN 2024 and 2025, and forming part of the Executive MUN team at BFIS, she is excited to take on a new role as a chair.
She is committed to making BFISMUN 2026 an impactful conference for all delegates, striving for a high debate level and an enthusiastic atmosphere.
Lila is currently in her first year of the IB Diploma Programme at the Benjamin Franklin International School of Barcelona. Lila is originally from the United States, and had lived in New York, Colorado, and Virginia before moving to Barcelona in 2025. She has participated in Model United Nations for three years, this being her fourth, and she has attended a variety of conferences as a delegate such as GSMUN, ODUMUN, ACTMUN, and HIMUNC. Additionally, she has previously acted as assistant chair in ECOSOC at FREEMUN. She is excited to create a debate atmosphere which is lively and exciting, and to create an inclusive committee where every delegate can contribute. Lila holds an immense interest in global issues and politics, and is looking forward to seeing them debated!
Daria is currently a 10th grader at Benjamin Franklin International School of Barcelona. Daria is originally from Moscow, Russia and moved to Spain at the age of 3 where she has lived ever since. She was exposed to the multifaceted world from an early stage of her life through extensive travel. She was fueled with constant enthusiasm towards learning about the world around her and making it a better place, something which she feels directly led to her successful experiences as an MUN delegate, winning awards in conferences like BIMUN, BFISMUN, HAGAMUN, and ACMUN. As a chair, Daria is eager to make this year’s BFISMUN edition a memorable one and confident that she will provide a space for meaningful contribution, communication and connection between all participants.
