Pablo Pomar is a first-year IBDP student at Benjamin Franklin International School. He is honored to be able to participate in this year’s BFISMUN conference as a chair for the Security Council. Pablo was born and raised in Spain, naturally fueling a deep interest in his country’s national politics. He began to expand his interest to global politics through his involvement in numerous local and international MUN conferences, including BCNMUN, BFISMUN, BIMUN, OAKMUN, IMUN, HAGAMUN, and ACTMUN, gaining 5 Best Delegate awards throughout. This will be his second time chairing at BFISMUN and he is preparing to chair at BIMUN in the spring. Overall, MUN has served Pablo as a tool to express his interest in international politics, as well as to develop crucial public speaking and critical thinking skills, allowing him to participate in meaningful debates. At BFISMUN 2026, Pablo hopes to develop a strong sense of community within the conference, ensuring a fluid progression of powerful debate, and creating long-lasting memories for all those present.
Ben Frumin is currently in his first year of the IB diploma program at Benjamin Franklin International School. He was born in the United States, but also has Uruguayan citizenship. He is fluent in both spanish and english. Ben has participated in MUN since moving to Barcelona 3 years ago and has since attended numerous conferences throughout Europe in country’s such as Portugal, The Netherlands, and Albania. This will be his third time chairing a Model UN conference, having chaired at OAKMUN and on track to chair at BIMUN in the spring. He believes that MUN at any skill level is a spectacular way to meet people and develop skills such as communication, critical thinking, and public speaking in addition to developing one's own self-confidence. Ben is very excited for BFISMUN 2026 and is looking forward to some very engaging debates.
Roni Yosefian is a 10th grader at the Benjamin Franklin International School of Barcelona. She was born in Tel Aviv, Israel, where she lived until the age of five before moving to Europe and living in cities including Berlin and Amsterdam before moving to Barcelona in 2020. She is fluent in Hebrew, English and Spanish, and is currently learning her fourth language, allowing her to deepen her knowledge on the importance of culture. Roni began her MUN journey in 9th grade and has developed a passion for diplomacy, debate and public speaking as tools for addressing global conflicts since, attending six conferences as a delegate including ACTMUN, BCNMUN, BFISMUN, and as a chair for OAKMUN 2026. She looks forward to chairing this year's edition of BFISMUN and engaging in productive debate.
