Dasha Sidorova is a current International Baccalaureate student attending the American School of Barcelona. She was born in Russia, but had been living in Spain for the past 4 years, giving her an opportunity to experience two dissimilar cultures. Dasha has attended seven conferences and has been a chair at three of them, including THIMUN, BCNMUN and BIMUN 2023. Through these experiences she has grasped the importance of dialogue and diplomacy in the modern world, where tensions tend to escalate rapidly

By becoming a chair at BFISMUN 2024 in the Political Committee, she is aspiring to educate others about the importance of compromise and cooperation in addition to the need to bridge the cultural divides. She is looking forward to the conference and is hoping for a fun yet a productive debate.

Naoki Hashimoto is currently a junior at Benjamin Franklin International School in Barcelona. Naoki was born in Osaka, Japan but lived in Barcelona for the past 9 years. Naoki Joined Model UN Club at his school three years ago, and since then has experienced multiple conferences in Barcelona region, as delegate. Through these experiences Naoki has developed strong interest in debating, fostering his public speaking skills and research skills regarding global scale issues, as well as getting touched with various new perspectives on these issues. Ultimately, Naoki hopes for prosperous debate, enriching all delegate’s experiences in the Political Committee, as a chair.

Mateo Racho is enrolled as a Junior at Benjamin Franklin International School (BFIS) in Barcelona. Mateo was born in Barcelona and has lived in various areas of the city since then. Mateo joined the Model United Nations club at his school 3 three years ago in 9th grade and has attended online and in person conferences alike such as BERMUN I, BERMUN II, BFISMUN and HAGAMUN in the past and is looking forward to returning to BFISMUN as a chair. Being in MUN has allowed Mateo to develop his knowledge on international relations and research skills. Aside from his interest in politics, Mateo enjoys Muay Thai and photography. For this conference, he will be chairing the Political Committee alongside Naoki Hashimoto and Daria Sidorova.
